Venue Contracts Workshop for PCOs and Venues

Download Event to Calendar

Please join us for this deep-dive event, led by Nick Milne of Nick Milne Associates - who will bring clarity and rationale in the sometimes murky area of contract law and its practical application within the commercial setting of meetings venues.

This in-person event, kindly hosted by Robinson College, will have the following objectives.

  • Develop a greater understanding of the basic principles of contracts and how to make them work best through negotiation
  • Examine legalities of relevant contract terms that can be applied to address identified concerns, and help make contracts work better for them
  • Explore the provision and inclusion of SLA’s in the contracting process
  • Discuss issues of specific attendees’ interest in a Q and A session

The event will run from 10.30am and will finish at 1pm with a spot of lunch, and an opportunity for a show-round.

PCOs - there is an opportunity to extend your experience, and have a hosted dinner on the 1st October.  Please read on....

Arrive at Jesus College throughout the day; Forget stereotype student accommodation, enjoy a cosy, characterful stay in the heart of Cambridge. Once a former nunnery, this historic College is now home to Sonita Alleyne, the first Black Master of an Oxbridge College.

Walking tour

Don’t just go to dinner but take the opportunity to meander through the streets of Cambridge and learn as you go on the guided tour, starting from Jesus College’s West Court Porter’s Lodge.

Dinner

The tour finishes at the both historic and iconic University Arms Hotel for an exclusive dinner with the Meet Cambridge team, and enjoy the opportunity to chat with other attendees and just being in the Cambridge world.
