Press release:- Conference Care receives B Corp Certification
05 March 2024
Venue Finding & Event Management agency Conference Care has officially received B Corp certification - the latest milestone in their ongoing commitment to sustainability.
The B Corp Certification is an internationally acknowledged accreditation awarded to businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, responsibility, transparency and accountability.
Pauline Beattie, Sales Director at Conference Care, has been leading the B Corp assessment process for the past year, and had this to say about this incredible achievement:
“Receiving this accreditation is the best start to 2024 for us. We know that as a business we place equal value on people, planet and profit and getting those values recognised externally through the robust B Corp certification process demonstrates our commitment to creating change.” J
udith Dix, Sustainability Specialist at Conference Care, has worked tirelessly to ensure the business has met B Corp standards. She says:
“Conference Care have been focused on sustainable events for years, but becoming a B Corp has focused our efforts and helped us evaluate how far we’ve come. Measuring our entire social and environmental impact and learning that we meet the highest standards in sustainability performance is tangible proof of the work our whole team has done. Not only does B Corp evaluate the company’s performance, but it proves the positive impact we have on our customers and the community, which is a big part of the Conference Care ethos. We are so proud to be a B Corp, and we can’t wait to build on this success. B Corp is just the beginning!”
Conference Care’s commitment to sustainability is longstanding having been carbon neutral since 2010 and with a pledge to emit Net Zero carbon by 2030 for Scopes 1 and 2. Achieving B Corp was a challenge set out by our two founding partners Chris Peacock and Andrew Deakin and has been a team effort for the last 12 months.
Conference Care is a Meeting Needs charity partner and is a member of BEAM and ABPCO, with Pauline Beattie sitting in the BEAM ESG Action Group.
