Institute of Conference & Event Management

In 2003 the Education Group was tasked to look at the feasibility of setting up an Institute of Conference and Event Management.  With the range of diverse organisations all competing in the market place, the rationale behind the idea was to bring these various industry strands together under one umbrella in order to maintain the standards and keep a competitive edge against organisations in Europe, Asia and elsewhere from taking a larger share of international meetings.  To date this has not happened.
