As many of you may know, for the past few years Michael Foreman has been working in the Sustainability Sector and more specifically developing technology to drive best practice in Waste Management for commercial properties. He has however remained in touch with ABPCO and many members. Through his knowledge of both the meetings/venues sector and more recent experience he has offered ABPCO an online round table where he will offer some insights and tips to cost and environmental savings opportunities related to waste management.

Due to the fact that venues, hotels and congress centres have almost closed completely due to COVID-19 all waste generation will have reduced and eventually ceased over the month of March. It may therefore be a perfect opportunity to look critically at every aspect of the waste operations and service provision. Don’t Waste believes that owners, managers and organisers will be looking actively for cost saving opportunities through this period as well as through the transition back to normality.

Although the insights may be relevant in any case, the forthcoming “reset” of normal operations will be the perfect opportunity to introduce a programme of recommended changes to manage cost while moving towards a situation when we will be once again operating at full capacity. As teams may be working from home they may also have the time to focus proactively on this opportunity. We will all have to work creatively and change the way we work when we come out the other side of “lockdown”.

Join us at 10.30am for the session - the registration details can be seen in 'directions'
