This discussion will focus on what we can learn from those who have experienced unexpected challenges in the course of their professional life – including Extinction Rebellion, protestors, stage invasions, mass food poisoning, myxomatosis and everything in-between! The event will be chaired by Sarah Byrne of Mosaic Events, and on her panel will be Kate Sargent from BioScientifica Ltd, Catherine Duhaut from BeaconHouse Events, Davina Keen from the NUS and Sarah Bickerton from Manchester Central.

We will discuss their experiences, the outcomes they achieved and most importantly how they reacted and responded and what they learnt. We know that as events professionals working in dynamic environments being challenged is inevitable, being defeated is optional. We believe that as a community we can all learn from the different perspectives, experiences and solutions.
