Workshop Overview

In today’s unpredictable world, having a robust crisis communications plan is crucial. This workshop will cover a range of potential crises, including:

- Speaker Mishaps and Inappropriate Language - How to handle unexpected issues on stage, from technical difficulties to offensive remarks.
- Disruptive Activity: Preparing for and managing communication in the event of a security  or activist threat.

What You Will Learn:

1. Identifying, Assessing and Prioritising Potential Crises: Understand the types of crises that can occur, their likelihood, and their potential impact on your event and stakeholders.
2. Audience Analysis: Learn how to review and segment your audiences and delegates to tailor your communication effectively.
3. Developing a Crisis Communications Plan: Step-by-step guidance on creating a comprehensive plan, including:
- Preparation: Setting up a crisis management team and establishing communication channels.
- Response: Strategies for quick and effective communication, ensuring accurate and timely information reaches all stakeholders.
- Recovery: Post-crisis communication and steps to restore trust and reputation.
