8.45am – Meet at Pullman Liverpool where the team will whisk you away for a tour of Liverpool John Moores University Eco-Innovatory, Drone Lab and Immersive Technology Lab 10.30am – Arrive back at ACC Liverpool for a tour of this award-winning flagship venue 11.30am – The B word
It is important for us to understand the wider environment in which we, Professional Conference Organisers, operate; regardless of whether we operate on a national, European or international model, so that we can make effective strategic plans. We need to consider how we can support our association, our colleagues and our clients with positioning the UK as a meeting destination.
There are many impacts on our business, including those relating to political, economic, social, technological, environmental, employment and legal factors, and we understand that associations may be directly impacted by funding cuts to the UK, or by the funding of research in relevant universities being curtailed.
We meet to discuss and share our strategies surrounding the current economic situation, and to see if we can help each other with strategies to minimise threats and increase opportunities.
