Role & Skill Areas
My role at Alzheimer's Research UK is to lead our amazing Events team and plan and deliver the Research Conference, charity's flagship event. I work alongside our Senior Events Manager on achieving the team’s strategic goals and developing a purposeful and engaging events program.
I am adept in smoothly juggling a variety of tasks and duties while producing top class events and projects. I have superb people skills, a strong work ethic and the motivation to go above and beyond to exceed organisation’s expectations.
I have knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, events management software EventsAIR and streaming platforms such as ZOOM and SpotMe.
Experience
I have over 12 years’ experience in designing, planning and executing events from large scale conferences and receptions to intimate dinners as well as hybrid and online events.
My career began at King's College, Cambridge. After 5 years working in the catering department, I took a role of the Deputy Dean's Verger at the King's College Chapel, where my main responsibility was working on classical music concerts with students and external clients as well as working with BBC Radio on the the “Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols", which is broadcast annually to over 10 million people around the world and has run since 1928.
I joined Alzheimer's Research UK in September 2019 as an Events Officer and was promoted to Senior Officer in Nov 2022. Earlier this year (2023) I was promoted to the Events Manager and took over management of the Events team and planning the Research Conference- charity's flagship event.
